Waiting Sucks
I remember my previous Pastor defining Faith as acting on what you believe because you can believe you can do anything but for the faith to come into play you must put something in motion. But what happens when everything you see goes against what you believe God has told you? What do you do then? How do you stay in Faith when the very thing God told you was going to happen seems to be going in the opposite direction?
I am reminded of the story of Abraham and Sarah. I TOTALLY understand right now why Sarah laughed at the idea of her having a son. Nothing looked like what it was supposed to, so it would seem as if God made a mistake. Can you imagine being over 75 and God coming to you like “Hey sis, you gone drop a son soon!” or being a whole virgin and God saying you are going to birth my son for me! You are looking up at God like why are you playing with me like this??
But God is not a man that he should lie and so if he SAID IT, HE WILL DO IT. It’s hard though. I trust God in all areas of my life except this one. I bet you want to know what that area is. LOL Y’all nosey! I can’t share the details yet but soon. What I can share is that even in this vulnerable space I can sit at God’s feet and tell him that it’s hard for me to see what he is showing me when everything around reveals the opposite and so I need His help. I cannot do this without him and what I always hear God say is that when it comes to pass….everyone will know it was ME who did it. It will definitely be a NOBODY BUT GOD moment.
I would not be honest if I didn’t say that the process doesn’t always feel good, but we have to allow in the space to shape us in the process. So that when we arrive at the promise, we can handle what he has given us.
So, I will continue to wait and allow God to develop me faith in this.
I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this!
Drop a comment below and let me know how I can pray for you in this season or if you can relate to this!
Until next time
